The house
Cherry & Blue is a fashion house designing collection-led leather bags. It works by collection rather than by season, and its first collection, N°01 Backgammon, sets a backgammon board into a leather tote and a leather duffle.
The symbol is an abstraction of two cherries. The first is a gradient from deep cherry to bright, standing for the fluid nature of culture. The second is opaque and patterned with the &Blue monogram, the brand's fingerprint. The same two cherries are made in solid brass as the house's decorative motif.
Collection N°00 gathers three early design studies, Backgammon Bordeaux, Waves and Pattern, each rendered as a tote and a duffle. They show where the house began. They are renders only, with no confirmed materials or dimensions, and are not in production.
The bags
The Backgammon Tote measures 15.4 in wide, 12.6 in high and 7.5 in deep (39 × 32 × 19 cm). Its shoulder strap is 43.3 in long and 1 in wide (110 × 2.5 cm) and clips on with snap hooks.
The Backgammon Duffle measures 15 in long, 9.4 in high and 8.7 in deep (38 × 24 × 22 cm). It has a 23.6 in (60 cm) double-slider zip along the top and a removable shoulder strap 1 in (2.5 cm) wide.
On the Black Backgammon Duffle, the body is grained cowhide leather in charcoal black and the board is smooth cowhide in powder beige, black and powder pink, with a navy fabric lining and rose-gold-finish metal hardware. The Black Backgammon Tote uses leather from 1.0 to 1.8 mm thick with a bordeaux lining. Material details for the other colorways will be confirmed when the collection opens.
The Tote is the taller piece, 12.6 in high against 9.4 in, and carries the board on its front panel. The Duffle is deeper, 8.7 in against 7.5 in, carries the board on both its front and back panels, closes with a 23.6 in (60 cm) double-slider zip and stands on five metal feet. Both have a zipped central divider and a detachable shoulder strap, and each colorway of either is limited to 100 pieces.
Leather. Every point on the board is cut from leather as a long triangle in contrasting colors, and the round checkers are leather too. On the Duffle the board runs across both the front and the back panel; on the Tote it fills the front panel.
The cherry motif is made in solid brass with a brushed rose-gold PVD finish. It shows the two cherries of the house symbol with a single leaf, and measures 10.2 × 4.2 in (258 × 107 mm), 0.7 to 0.8 in deep. The Backgammon bags carry a cherry charm at the handle.
Each Backgammon colorway is limited to 100 pieces. That applies to every colorway of the Tote and the Duffle.
The Backgammon Tote is shown in Black, Beige and Bordeaux. The Backgammon Duffle is shown in Black, Navy and Camel.
The Tote has a zipped central divider, a slip pocket on the inner wall and separate compartments either side of the divider. The Duffle has a zipped back-wall pocket, two slip pockets sized for a phone, a leather key loop and a zipped central divider.
No. Every image and film on the site is a 3D render of the final design. Photographs of the finished bags will replace them when the collection opens.
